The town of Puerto Ayora is charming and colorful with its historical lava rock streets, and variety of local artisans shops and vendors.   Here you can find an abundance of local artistry, sculptures, jewelry, and souvenirs.  Much of what you will find is hand made either by local Galapagos artists or hand-made items imported from mainland Ecuador. Stop at one of the restaurants for a break and enjoy local coastal cuisine and beautiful views of the surrounding town and turquoise waters of Academy Bay.  We would be happy to arrange transportation for you from the lodge to Puerto Ayora and make recommendations of local shops and restaurants to visit.
